What do yearn for when you're hungry? You want something soft and fluffy which you could tear bit by bit.
You want a bun with filing and yet you neither want it sweet nor creamy.
You want it spicy to tease your morning tastebud.
You want something more to chew on, something more beyond the soft pillow bread.

YUMMY!!
Let me introduce the Gardenia Bilis Fun Bun to you. It's a Malaysian top favourite bun, soft on the outside, spicy in the inside. It's anchovies sambal filling which is the same we use for our 'nasi lemak' gives this simple bun a kick. I highly recommend this if you happened to visit Malaysia. It's cheap and sambal is a Malaysian local food you must try when you're in the country. To me, I just don't have the time to sit and have a heavy rice meal, thus I go for the sambal bun for the spicy kick. The sambal is spicy but yet sweet as well. As you tear the bun, you can see anchovies and shallots in the red filling. I can't find one like this even in spicy country, Thailand. The best I could go for in Bangkok is the pork floss or tuna buns which are mixed in sweet mayonnaise sauce.

HI cr3ap,
You definitely will should you a Malaysia. Just go to any supermarket or provision shop and you'll see it right in front of you. You may skip 7-11 outlets. Apparently, they don't have this particular bun among their Gardenia range.
@Akira, well, apparently 7-11 does seems like a multi shop having a variety of things but it's a mini one therefore it sure doesn't have much special things. They only sell those which can sell out faster. :D
